Recipe of Pot Noodles have actually originated in Japan as a fast food. This flavorful meal could be eaten anytime either during lunch, packed in a thermos pot, or frozen for a quick night meal. The preparation of Pot noodles carry its own Asian style depends upon the kinds of flavoring elements being added along with the basic ingredients. It could be a nice substitute for any other kind of pasta.

The beauty of these recipes is that after cooking, the noodle are dehydrated and packed in a pot frozen for few days and finally, could be eaten by simply adding boiled water. It’s really an easy cooking recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 150g Chinese dried egg noodles
  • 250ml chicken stock (frozen)
  • 3 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 50 g frozen peas
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • Chicken seasoning spices ( easily available in the market)
  • 75g frozen sweet baby corn
  • 100 g cooked or boiled shredded chicken,
  • 1tsp corn flour
  • 1 cup sliced spring onion
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cups water

Preparation time: 20 minutes.

How to Prepare:

Boil water in a sauce pan. Now add the noodles into the hot boiling water. Turn the flame off and cover the lid of the pan and keep it for 2-3 min.Drain out the water and keep the noodles aside.

Take a separate frying pan. Heat oil for a minute. Add the sliced spring onions. Sauté for a minute. It will release a nice odor. In a small cup, mix the corn flour with 2 teaspoons of cold water and add this directly into pan. Cook for a further minute, stir, until the liquid thickens slightly. Now add the grated carrots, sweet baby corns and soy sauce. Simmer for 2 mins and bring it to boil until the carrot and sweet corns are just cooked. Pour the chicken stocks and let it boil for 5 minutes. Add the frozen peas, and the shredded chicken into it. Stir it well and fry for few minutes. Pour the Chinese boiled noodles now. Add the chicken flavored seasonings and give a gentle stir. Salt may be added in between. But as salt is already, present in the chicken flavoring so, it’s not recommended to add more. Noodles are cooked now.

Serve the noodle in a pot for fun. Serve with chopsticks and vegetable. Another option is to cool the pot noodles and then store it in an air tight contained for freezing.
